

Jackie Vaske, Housing Director
Working with seniors is a passion of mine.
My background includes 10 years of experience in senior care with over six years in overseeing multi-properties throughout the Midwest, including independent and assisted living, and memory care units.
I am the youngest of six kids and grew up in a very close-knit family. I am originally from Dyersville, IA, and I moved to Cedar Rapids after graduating from the University of Iowa and have been a Marion resident for the past four years.
Kim Smith, Marketing Director
I just love being with seniors! And, my job at Summit Pointe allows me to spend time with our residents. I'm also very grateful that I get to spend time with new visitors and help them with their senior living choices.
Before I had the opportunity to join Summit Pointe, I worked for another senior living community for seven years. My background also includes experience with a home health company and nursing training.
I am very excited to be part of Summit Pointe. It is a wonderful community offering everything for senior living—all in a warm neighborhood environment. I look forward to meeting you, too!
Nancy Dean, Office Manager
Managing the business office at Summit Pointe is Nancy Dean. Nancy is retired from a high-pressure position as production control manager at a manufacturing company. “The residents here and the staff are so nice and gracious—I love helping them!”
Nancy has three boys and three grandchildren. “Spending time with the grandchildren and my dog keeps me busy.”
Keri Boffeli, Outreach Coordinator
Keri is the Outreach Coordinator for Summit Pointe. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa and has a background in home health and hospice care.
Keri is married and has three children and lives in Monticello. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and running.
Working with seniors has always been a passion of mine. I am extremely excited to be part of the community at Summit Pointe!
Nick Janda, Chef
Chef Nick is a graduate of Scottsdale, Arizona, Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts. Nick has spent 11 years cooking in fine dining and senior living. Nick enjoys working with the residents and cooking new recipes.
I always want to know what the residents want, so I can bring an enjoyable dining experience for them. The best part about being the Chef at Summit Pointe is the opportunity to be creative and serve great, tasty food.
Nick has a 4 year old son named Andrew. In his free time, Nick likes to watch the Food Network, swim, and play with his dogs.
